Why is NVIDIA making an Arm laptop?

I've been thinking about the NVIDIA N1X for over a year, and I've been hearing so many things about it that when put together, simply don't make sense. It's an odd design point and design choice, and NVIDIA will have an uphill battle to get there. What really gets me is how fanboy the coverage is, and why everyone seems to be lining up at the alter to spread misinformation. I break it down for you, but also try and tell you what is causing me concern.
