Santiago Atitlán

We arrived in Santiago Atitlán, Guatemala. We spent 15 days there at Firefly Gardens, where we exchanged gardening work for a beautiful place to live. Lola, Chello, and Mateo are the guardians of this place (besides the essential oils). It's a true paradise far from the city. We also visited the market, talked with women about traditional dishes, and met Rilaj Mam, also known as Maximón. We also shared a conversation with Mayanza about cycling and health with women from the community. It was a beautiful few days in a place where fireflies and volcanoes watch over the nights.
