震度6強 八戸市の地震被害 【藤原が行く】#50

Broadcast on December 10, 2025 "Fujiwara Goes" covers hot topics from the scene, this time covering the earthquake damage in Hachinohe City. Even in downtown Hachinohe, heartbreaking damage was seen, with broken glass in buildings scattered across the roads. While damage was minor in some nearby areas, there were also areas with extensive damage to buildings and ground. [Announcer Fujiwara Yuki] "Oh, this is the Hachinohe Higashi High School building. The foundation has been damaged by the earthquake." Hachinohe Higashi High School in Ruike, Hachinohe City, has been closed for the rest of this week. Additionally, six rooms on the first through third floors of the school building will be closed for the time being due to cracks in the foundation. Earthquake damage to the school building occurred 31 years ago... [Local Resident] "The school building before this one collapsed in the same place, perhaps during the Sanriku earthquake." "The first floor collapsed. It was a three-story building, and the first floor was crumpled here." "I wonder if it has something to do with the geological strata or something, since it happened in the same place." When we arrived at Hachinohe Port... [Announcer Yuki Fujiwara] "There's a large crack in the road here, and it's shifted like a staircase. These cracks continue for over 100 meters." This is the container terminal, which serves as a gateway for imports and exports. Cracks and unevenness have appeared all over the site. [Hachinohe Port Transportation Manager Satoru Yanagiya] "This area was originally the same height, so we don't know if this one has risen or fallen." This area, where containers are piled up, is reclaimed land. It was originally the sea. Renovation began after the earthquake, and it has been in use since 2018. According to the prefecture, damage such as unevenness and cracks has been reported in six locations at Hachinohe Port. There's also the possibility of liquefaction, a phenomenon in which the ground becomes liquid due to the earthquake. [Yanagiya Satoru, Section Chief, Hachinohe Port Transportation] (Q: What is this?) "It's a straddle carrier, a machine used to transport containers. The vehicle itself weighs 60 tons, so it's dangerous to drive it over cracks and uneven surfaces, so we've currently suspended its use in this area." Each container weighs approximately 30 tons. There are approximately 600 of these in this area, mainly for export to Korea and Southeast Asia. Heavy machinery is unavailable and they can't be moved. [Yanagiya Satoru, Section Chief, Hachinohe Port Transportation] "We plan to work with relevant parties to address container movement methods and recovery as soon as possible, minimizing the impact on shipping companies and shippers." It was shocking to see the cracks in the ground last such a long time, and it raises concerns about the impact this earthquake will have on the economy. That's right. There's no indication of when the containers can be removed or restored. Also, I visited the container terminal for the first time, and it was a complete mess. It was hard to imagine what the original topography was like; there were steps, cracks, and slopes everywhere, making it hard to imagine if there were any original steps here. It seemed like recovery would be extremely difficult. That's all for "Fujiwara Goes." #EarthquakeOffEastAomoriPrefecture #HachinoheCity #Liquefaction #HachinohePort #J-ChanAomori #FujiwaraGoes #AnnouncerFujiwara ◆Subscribe to the channel here:    / @aba-news
