TAONG PUTIK | TAONG PUTIK FESTIVAL The actual celebration of Taong Putik (Mud People) in Bibiclat. Aliaga in honor of their patron St. John the Baptist. Devotees submerged their bodies and cover their faces with mud. They also cover themselves with Banana Leaves. This sacred tradition is native in Bibiclat, Aliaga. This is the only traidition that uses mud and banana leaves honoring St.John the Baptist instead of the usual basaan (pouring of water).
