Dr Prateek Joshi, a radiologist at Royal Derby Hospital in the UK, and his wife Dr Komi Joshi, a pathologist based in Rajasthan, were travelling with their children — a 9-year-old daughter and 4-year-old twin sons — on a direct flight to London’s Gatwick airport. The family had planned to reunite permanently in the UK. Dr Komi had resigned from her job in India, and Dr Prateek had returned home to bring his wife and children back with him. His father, Dr JP Joshi, shared that Prateek specifically chose a direct flight from Ahmedabad for the comfort and ease of his young kids.
