We will now talk about the nomenclature of alkynes. In this organic nomenclature video lesson, we will study the nomenclature of alkynes or unbranched alkynes, unsaturated chain hydrocarbons that have triple bonds between carbon atoms. We will see that the general formula for an alkyne is CnH2n-2.
