Today, I went a bit more "scientific" with Electro Etching, and actually measured out ingredients and temperatures and settings, so I could give you information that should be repeatable for anyone if they wanted to try this themselves. In this video we’ll use salt water and electricity to electro etch several different metals and learn how to achieve a decent etch no matter what metal you are using. Later in the video I show what Ferric Chloride will do to Copper to get a nice clean etch, and how to get the lines back in your Damascus steel once it’s been polished and etched.
