Exploring Unique Record Shops Around the World This time, we’re featuring Rererenorecord, located in Kawagoe, Saitama! Opened in 2016, ReReRe no record is a hybrid record shop, café, and bar. Its name playfully nods to “Rerere no Ojisan” (a classic manga character) while also incorporating the idea of “Re” as in return and recycle. The shop’s logo was designed by owner Daisuke Kojima’s father. The store offers both secondhand vinyl purchased from the local community and carefully curated new releases, with a genre-crossing, slightly “strange” selection that reflects Kojima’s unique taste. Live performances and DJ events are also hosted inside, creating a space where different generations can connect through music.
