The 2025 Asian U17 and U23 Wrestling Championships were held in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Vietnam, marking the first time Vietnam hosted a continental wrestling tournament. The event took place at The Grand Ho Tram resort complex, in Xuyen Moc district. The tournament officially opened on June 18, 2025 and lasted until June 26, 2025. Of which, the classical and freestyle wrestling events for the U17 and U23 age groups lasted until June 26. After that, the Asian Wrestling Federation continued to organize the 2025 Asian Youth Beach Wrestling Championship (for the U17 age group) at the same location. The event brought together nearly 1,000 athletes, coaches, referees and sports leaders from 24 Asian countries and territories. Athletes competed in 4 main events: classical wrestling, men's freestyle wrestling, women's freestyle wrestling and beach wrestling. According to the regulations, each country is allowed to register a maximum of 1 athlete in each weight category for the Olympic events and a maximum of 3 athletes in each weight category for the beach wrestling event. This tournament is not only an opportunity for young Asian talents to compete, rub shoulders and improve their professional skills, but also an opportunity to strengthen friendship, promote cultural and sports exchanges between countries in the region. At the same time, organizing this large-scale tournament also contributes to promoting the image of a dynamic, friendly and hospitable Vietnam to international friends. The Vietnamese wrestling team has had initial achievements at the tournament, winning 1 Silver Medal, and 3 Bronze Medals in the U17 and U23 age groups.
