The last days of Chipping Sodbury's Banana Bridge
The Banana bridge in Chipping Sodbury has reached the end of it's life and is to be knocked down before it falls down. Built in the 1970s it unfortunately wont be replaced due to cost. I remember in around 1985 being 5 years old in Raysfield junior school and we were stood on this bridge with our teacher and classmates with clipboard and pens, ticking off different colours of cars that went under.
