I share my music composition portfolio that got me accepted to Columbia University and the CUNY Graduate Center (both in New York City) for my doctoral degree in music composition. I ended up attending Columbia University, where at the posting of this video, I am a 6th doctoral student. At Columbia, my dissertation advisor is Prof. Georg Friedrich Haas. Before this, I went to Juilliard for my master’s degree, where I studied with John Corigliano for two years. And before that, I attended USC for my bachelor’s degree in music composition. Be mindful that this portfolio is from 2016, 6 years ago from the posting of this video. So a lot of music has been written since then! At this stage, your portfolio should showcase the best of what you can do and show promise in the field of music composition.
