Make Terrain Easily for Games Part 1-B : Blender / Godot Tutorial - From Scratch
Here's how to make terrains easily for game engines, we will be sculpting using Blender, simplifying it to a low poly terrain mesh using the modifiers and build a texture mixer for a preview of how it is going to look like in Godot, This will allow you to build mesh based terrains for games in Blender and use it in game engines of your choice, on this small video series we will be looking on how to import to Godot the terrain meshes and build the same shader in there. The main technique used is texture splatting, with alpha maps from a RGB texture image, we can use each RGB channel as a mask layer to generate 3 layers, and a fourth one when we have black pixels, giving us the option to mix up to 4 textures in a cheap way for game engines to run smoothly.
