Legacy of Stanley Holloway: Monologues to My Fair Lady

Please join me in this video, Legacy of Stanley Holloway: Monologues to My Fair Lady. We visit the last home and famous grave of Stanley Holloway English Actor, comedian, singer, and monologist. Stanley Holloway was quite possibly one of the most famous British entertainers of the 20th Century - with an enviable portfolio of work he was best known for the role of Alfred P. Doolittle, the father of Eliza in My Fair Lady both on stage and film. I thoroughly enjoyed Stanley Holloway's performance in My Fair Lady but it was in Passport to Pimlico (1949) and Lady Godiva Rides Again (1951) that I really became more interested in this amazing actor. His Monologues are the stuff of legend - as are his performances in Variety and Musical Hall. We see Stanley Holloway's blue plaque at his home and then take the short journey to leave flowers for Stanley and his wife Laney at their final resting place in East Preston, West Sussex.
