This is the story of Father Kham, a 56-year-old who has lived on a raft in the middle of the river with his wife and son. For many years, he has lived a solitary life on a raft in the middle of the river, sleeping, cooking, and engaging in activities such as fishing and growing vegetables. The raft has no electricity, no TV, and he has no telephone. He has lived this way for over 20 years at the Lam Pao Dam in Kalasin Province. This story also tells of "Father Yai Mon," a Mekong River caveman from Ban Pha Chan, Pho Sai District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. "Father Yai Mon," in addition to living on the cliff, also makes a living by finding shelter from the rain and gradually adding wood and other materials to his riverside vacation home. This four-story home is adapted to the seasons and tides. Grandma's Recipes: A-Ko or A-Ka dessert is a name derived from the Yawi language. It means "lifting up and down." The process involves constantly lifting the dessert up and down, hence the name "Khanom A-Kao." While this dessert may be unfamiliar to the general public, it's a delicious and long-standing traditional dessert that is incredibly popular.
