Calipso Dora

The Cantar de Pueblo Foundation was founded in 1988 by a group of young people from the Venezuela neighborhood with a passion for music. They shaped a community project that quickly began to bear fruit in the cultural sphere. Since its inception, the group has participated in various cultural activities at the regional and national levels, including the International Drum Festival in Barlovento, the Caicara del Orinoco Tourist Carnivals, and the Drum Festival in Tucupita. They also won both editions of the Bicentennial Cultural Explosion, being selected to represent the state in 2011 and 2012. Thanks to their history and commitment to popular tradition, they have been invited to Anzoátegui state to perform at the festivities in honor of the Virgin of the Valley, sharing their musical style with audiences in eastern Venezuela.
