Actual footage of Hugo Banzer Suárez's coup against Juan José Torres. August 21, 1971. The audio is not part of the film. I have combined soundless footage with a cassette recording, but both show what the 1971 coup that installed Hugo Banzer as president was like. I don't know who filmed the footage shown in this video, but it can be found in a Canadian documentary about Bolivia's dictatorial era. That documentary was made after the death of a Canadian citizen was reported during Hugo Banzer's military government.
