My Beautiful Home project 2015, Painted huts of Zimbabwe, by Veronique Attala
In the beautiful Matobo hills of Zimbabwe, we organize a competition to reward and encourage the tradition of painted huts with clay, ashes and charcoal. As for sand castles, the rain washes away the designs of the previous year. Then, after the rains and when the harvest is finished, usually during the months of june-july, the women have time to re-decorate their homes showing real genuine artistic talent, as you will see in this little video.
