In 1896, “Payitaht – Abdülhamid” will bring to the screen the major events that marked the era from the 20th year of Sultan Abdülhamid’s reign. The series will feature a war that, after a long time, ended with an Ottoman victory: the “Greco–Turkish War.” It will also depict the First Zionist Congress, when Palestine was demanded from the Sultan — a demand he firmly rejected, leaving the opposing side in disappointment. Another key achievement of the Sultan, the construction of the Hejaz Railway, along with many other significant historical events, will also be included in Payitaht Abdülhamid. Witnessing the nation’s struggle alongside Sultan Abdülhamid Han, the series promises to be presented as a gift to the descendants of a strong nation carried into the present day and to the future of our history, with its central theme of “Struggle!” Starring Bülent İnal, Özlem Conker, Selen Öztürk, Akın Akınözü, Ezgi Eyüboğlu, Hakan Boyav, Saygın Soysal, and Umut Kurt, the production will feature nearly fifty main cast members, with a total of 400 to 500 actors including extras. #payitaht #abdülhamid #turkishdrama
