EKSPEDISI TRANS PAPUA 2017 ( Waghete - Timika dan Nabire - Kwatisore )

Trans Papua Expedition (Nabire - Waghete - Enarotali - Timika and Nabire - Kwatisore) The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), along with several national media outlets, conducted a five-day Trans Papua road expedition from February 16-21, 2017. One of the objectives of the expedition was to provide public information on the progress of road and bridge improvement and construction, as well as related infrastructure, in Papua and West Papua. This is part of the Nawacita (Nine Priorities) agenda, which focuses on building from the periphery and improving connectivity. The expedition team was divided into three groups: Team 1, West Papua Region, which explored the Trans Papua West road from Sorong - Mamokwari - Bintuni to the Papua provincial border. Team 2, Central Papua Region, explored the Trans Papua road in the central region from Nabire - Waghete - Enarotali - Timika, Nabire - the West Papua border (Kwatisore), and Nabire - Legari. Team 3, East Papua Region, explored Merauke - Muting - Tanah Merah - Bovem Digoel, Jayapura - Skouw (Border), and the Holtekamp Bridge. The following are the Trans Papua expeditions carried out by Team 2: Nabire - Waghete - Enarotali - Timika and Nabire - West Papua Border (Kwatisore).
