Gemfan 3630 vs HQProp 3525 | The Result Surprised Me

I recently picked up a set of Gemfan 3630 propellers for my custom-built 3.5" freestyle drone, the KUHL 35, and decided to compare them directly against the HQProp 3525s that I normally fly. Going into this test, I expected the larger and higher-pitch Gemfan props to reduce flight time. Instead, the results were much more interesting than expected. The Gemfan 3630s turned out to be more efficient at lower throttle, while the HQProp 3525s were more efficient when pushing harder at higher throttle. In the end, both propellers delivered nearly identical overall flight times despite feeling quite different in the air. That means the choice comes down less to efficiency and more to personal flying preference.
