Nightshade's notes: Bluechan wrote this script in response to a prompt of mine for a variation of the old "Beauty and the Beast" fairy tale that did not rely on elements from a certain popular animated movie. I'm just absolutely astounded at how well she captured the heart of the fairy tale while still managing to create something unique and new. I'm hopelessly in love with this story, and I hope you all love it as much as I do. I drew the character art myself this time around, and because of that, I opted for something of a scaly beast rather than try to ruin myself with the difficulty of a more hairy monster. I love the character BluechanXD wrote so much that I think I could have drawn forever and never felt I truly did her justice, but I'm satisfied with what I came up with, I think, and I hope you will like her, too.
