Landscape gardener Kobayashi Kenji and Aiba Construction worked together on the urban development of Solar Town Hakoneyama. The gardens and exteriors of the nine homes at the foot of Hakoneyama Green Space in Higashimurayama, on the outskirts of Tokyo, were designed by Kobayashi Kenji. Kobayashi selected the tree species, saying, "I want to make this the town with the most beautiful autumn leaves in Higashimurayama," and he also placed lush greenery and stones on the boundaries between the houses, creating a townscape that encourages interaction between residents and creates a rich experience.
