The compact sedan segment is one of the fastest growing on the market and the Nissan Sentra provides amenities, fuel economy, and an affordable price. The Sentra is now in its seventh generation and for 2016 the car has been refreshed. Prices range from $16,780 for the base S model to $22,170 for the SL model. The SR model tested here has a base price of $20,410 but with all the options comes to $25k. Up front the fascia looks more like other Nissan vehicles, the fenders are pumped up, and nice looking wheels have been added. Under the hood is a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder that makes 130 horsepower and 120 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is a CVT which helps the Sentra get 29 MPG in the city and 38 MPG on the highway. The upper trim levels get features that are usually reserved for more expensive models like: infotainment screen, backup camera, blind spot monitoring, intelligent cruise control, keyless entry, and more.
