⛰️ Explore the diamond-filled mountains of Lopburi and the mysterious Buddha footprint on the summit! ⛰️ On this trip, I, Ajarn Toi Saitama, and the team will take you on a journey back in time to the summit of another sacred mountain in Lopburi, "Wat Khao Phra Ngam." Did you know that this mountain is a source of precious gems that has attracted visitors since ancient times? The first thing we found when we hiked to the summit was the remnants of an ancient pagoda, now only the bricks mixed with rice husks remain for us to study. Looking back down at the foot of the mountain, according to legend, there was once an "ancient wall" that bounded the magnificent religious site, but it has now disappeared with time. 💎 A Mountain of Diamonds, Herbs, and Abundance This area on the mountain is not an ancient copper mine as many mistakenly believe, but it is a source of "Khao Phra Ngam diamonds," or high-quality quartz! The entire mountain is full of quartz and strangely shaped gemstones that sparkle throughout the area. Along the way, our camera team also found rare local herbs and a large population of wild chickens. It truly reflects the abundance and tranquility of this forest. ✨ Sacred energy felt by enlightened monks. The mystery of Khao Phra Ngam diamonds is extraordinary, as Luang Pho Ruesi Ling Dam once felt the powerful energy in this area and spoke of Khao Phra Ngam diamonds, recommending that the temple use them as sacred gemstones to bestow merit upon devotees. It's no wonder that in the past, many meditation masters of the Luang Pu Man lineage and his disciples came here to practice and attain enlightenment. 🙏 Buddhist sanctuary amidst the cliffs and the enigmatic Buddha footprint. From another angle on the mountaintop, we explored a cave housing an important and ancient reclining Buddha statue, and the highlight is the area of ​​the Buddha footprint. In the past, Phra Khun Ubali and Phra Khun Am led the villagers in restoring and building a pavilion to cover it. The atmosphere around the Buddha footprint is unique and mystical, surrounded by frangipani trees and strangely shaped rocks resembling... "Megalithic culture" is present, and the area is clean, tidy, and pleasing to the eye, with no overgrown grass to bother you. 📻 The magic of the abandoned radio station and the famous song "The Army Soldier's Defeated Love" Although the top is a strange-looking cliff face and doesn't offer a wide panoramic view, it hides contemporary history from over 70 years ago: the remains of a former radio station (both military and private). Even though it's now abandoned because modern times have switched to satellite signals, these architectural ruins remind me of the classic country song "The Army Soldier's Defeated Love," which goes... 🎶 "Just when I met your eyes, you came to visit the radio station. An angel must have disguised herself to lure me. My heart longs for your beautiful face, and I dream of you. You said you loved an army soldier, but you lied, breaking my heart. You forgot the soldier, you forgot our old love in Lopburi. You forgot me, you forgot the GMC truck, you forgot this woman, it's been a long time." 🎶 This trip took us a full 4 hours round trip! It was exhausting, but worth it for experiencing traces of history that overlapped across multiple eras.
