I would find that loss a lot funnier if it wasn't a personal best so far in terms of levels cleared. Granted, this run probably shouldn't have gotten this far to begin with given how badly I messed up the Qilin skip and let myself get cursed in Cosmic Ocean itself. Side tangent about that, though, I really think that having the elixir should negate curses dropping you to one health. Not being stuck at one health for the rest of the run is definitely nice, but compare that to the possibility of being poisoned and how the elixir reacts to that status. The poison's just removed immediately. And the only things that can poison you are scorpions, which are only naturally found in pots pretty scarcely and can be avoided by simply not breaking open pots, Sunken City's arrow traps, which can also be avoided really easily by just looking around, and cobras. That's effectively one actual threat within Cosmic Ocean that can poison you, and it's a low mobility one. I've seen plenty of runs ended by a cobra spitting poison onto somebody from across the entire level, sure, but it's not nearly as common as encountering cat mummies or witch doctors, both of which can effectively block off one tile walkways. Oh, and also? Give the sun challenge a clover. I'm begging you. It takes up the same amount of time as the star challenge and is exclusive to an area that inherently takes longer to get through than either Tidepool or Temple.
