Purpose of the Seminar: The Department of Library and Information Service proudly presents this event in partnership with the Research and Postgraduate Support in commemorating the recent Open Access journal special issue on AI in Social Science Research, published on 31 August: https://sajlis.journals.ac.za/pub/iss... The seminar explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can streamline research using data-driven tools. Discussions will explore how AI enhances research, discovery, and information access while promoting open access to knowledge. The focus will be on the integration of AI, Information Science, and Open Science to enhance information discovery, dissemination, and access. These elements are interlinked to improve knowledge distribution, while open access ensures free availability of this knowledge.
