I got wild vegetables in the mountain, now we have free food for dinner. I went to the mountain with my dog Robina and got various wild vegetables. We got bamboo shoots(labong\rabong), wild taro tops, elephant foot yam known locally as ‘tigi’ and more. I turned these into simple food for our dinner, some of which are adobo and atsarang labong, dinengdeng, tortang tigi and ginataan. Foraging wild vegetables in the mountain is something I always do even when I was a kid. When we only have rice for lunch or dinner, we head to the mountain and gather some edibles and voila! We now have free food straight from nature!
