🇹🇭 Want to see inside my Thai Language Challenge? Here's a Day 10 preview from inside of my Virtual Classroom: https://www.thailanguagechallenge.com... If you want to speak Thai more naturally, you need to know how Thai people talk about different parts of the day. In this lesson, you’ll learn the Thai words used to describe morning, afternoon, evening, and night, along with the specific time periods that divide the 24-hour day in Thai. These words are extremely useful when you want to: • talk about what you did today • describe when something happened • tell stories about your day • understand how Thai people describe time The key word in this lesson is: • dton-nai (ตอนไหน) – time / part of the day From there, we build the different periods of the day: • dton chaao (ตอนเช้า) – morning • dton tiang (ตอนเที่ยง) – noon • dton bpai (ตอนบ่าย) – afternoon • dton yen (ตอนเย็น) – evening • dton glang wan (ตอนกลางวัน) – daytime • dton glang keun (ตอนกลางคืน) – night time Later in the day: • dton kam (ตอนค่ำ) – early night • dton duk (ตอนดึก) – late night • dton ting keun (ตอนเที่ยงคืน) – midnight • dton chaao muuk (ตอนเช้ามืด) – early morning before sunrise Understanding these time expressions will help you describe your day more clearly in Thai and understand everyday conversations much better. Once you know how to talk about time periods like this, it becomes much easier to build full sentences about your daily routine. 🇹🇭 Want to speak Thai in 100 days?
