"the sunset is beautiful isn't it?" is a way to explain to someone (or in my case, a place) that you love them, but you're also letting them go my time in pisa was brief. only six months. but i cherished all 15,780,000 seconds of it. when i first set my foot in pisa centrale, i was a shy timid girl who is unsure of herself. but living in a foreign place so far away from where i grew up make me brave to try and experience new things and explore sides of myself that i was scared to face before because i was afraid of judgement from other people. it also helps a lot that i'm friends with amazing people who are very supportive of me, namely the 8 girls who were with me every step of the way - ayi, debi, dian, england, fio, ghina, qiqi, and vanessa (i love you girls, you inspire me and help me to become who i am today). living abroad where everything is so different than my little city in indonesia truly altered the way my brain works. it's so easy to love life when you live in a beautiful city and surrounded by people who cares about you and whom you love so much. i left pisa as a girl who's more confident and comfortable with herself. a girl who has seen and experienced the beauty of living and is eager to see what else the world can offer. i am also beyond grateful of my beloved long time friends - anggi, dian, nadya, rana, rannu, and tasya - who has seen me went through every phase since middle school and still love me and embrace me with open arms even though i feel so different than when i last said goodbye to them. i also want to thank the friends i made in pisa for all the memories we made together that made life in pisa even more colorful. to rose and bill who me and my girls wouldn't have met if we all read the intro to aesthetics class announcement ahah. rose who said yes to a trip to milan the second time we hung out, we will be missing girls nights at your apartment and our meet ups around pisa. bill the sweetest and friendliest who has always been enthusiastic to learn about indonesia and who we always met randomly around pisa ahah. to giacomo and his friends who we always look for in a crowded vetto and cavalieri. to anna, simone, livia, and filippo the coolest people in pisa who make our friday and saturday nights more lively. we'll see you guys again soon. 🎵daniel weaver - part of that world ( / lut8kuyqlwrkdeah6 ) 🎵sicu - miooo guitar ( / cvne9xrs2vturbkg6 ) 🎵 mio - morning sun ( / zsgeofdu6p7opdvp8 ) 🎵 mimi bay - alone ( / malr9vnpoawascot6 )
