Christ in the Home | Colossians 3:20-21

Passage: Colossians 3:20–21 Sermon Title: Christ in the Home Series: Colossians: Christ Over Everything In Colossians 3:20–21, Paul brings the lordship of Christ into one of the most ordinary and revealing places in life: the home. Children are called to obey their parents because this pleases the Lord. Parents, especially fathers, are called to exercise authority without provoking or discouraging their children. These commands are simple, but they are not easy. They expose our need for grace. This sermon shows how obedience, authority, discipline, repentance, and encouragement all belong under the rule of Christ. A Christian home is not a perfect home. It is a home where Christ is Lord, sin is confessed, forgiveness is practiced, and grace shapes everyday life.
