SOLIDWORKS CAM is included with every active subscription of SOLIDWORKS and allows users to generate CNC code within the SOLIDWORKS interface. SOLIDWORKS CAM uses CAMWorks Feature Recognition to identify geometry like pockets, holes, and bosses and leverages a customizable database to determine the operations and parameters to use in machining those features. SOLIDWORKS 2020 includes several new features like probing tools and operations, tab cutting, and automatic curve feature creation for edge breaks.
