In addition to his legal practice, he focuses on socio-political, epistemological, and cultural studies issues. He holds a purist liberal worldview and is a close friend of Ulrike Guérot. Ulrike Guérot studied political science, history, and philosophy in Bonn, Münster, and Paris. She is a political scientist, professor, and writer specializing in European and democracy issues, with positions at think tanks and universities in Paris, Brussels, London, Washington, D.C., Berlin, Vienna, and Bonn. In 2014, she founded the European Democracy Lab e.V., a think tank dedicated to rethinking Europe. Her 2016 book, Why Europe Must Become a Republic: A Political Utopia*, became a Europe-wide bestseller, as did *Silence Is Consent and Endgame Europe in 2022.
