페이드를 만드는 3가지 방법 / 페이드를 만드는 기법 소개
How many ways are there to create a fade? Today, I'll be showing you how to create a faded top knot. Hello, this is Baeknyeon Barber. Most men's hairstyles are short, right? Fades, or top knots, are the most common. Whether you're at a hair salon or a barbershop, the methods for creating this short fade will vary slightly. The techniques and methods will vary depending on how you first learned it. No matter which method you use, it's important to accurately create the desired hairstyle for the client, right? Today, I'll give you a general overview of the different fade techniques. I'll also explain the pros and cons of each technique. The first method for creating a men's top knot fade is... The updo technique. In other words, it involves creating the hair from the bottom up. This is a technique that's widely used in barbershops these days. Once the haircut begins, the sides and bottom are shaved white, then a fade is created upwards. There's a story behind how and why this technique was created. Back in the old days, before electric clippers were available, people used these hand-held clippers. Because there were no tabs, they'd first shave the bottom of the head and then begin the haircut. This was the only way to do it. Those of you in your late 30s or older likely have had the experience of having your hair ripped off with these hand-held clippers at the barbershop when you were younger. I also had a short, sporty haircut in school. Every time I went to the barbershop, I used this. Later, as barbering tools evolved and new tools emerged, so did the techniques. Electric clippers, in particular, came with various tabs. From then on, haircutting became much easier. This up-do technique is an extension of the Sonbarikang technique, making it easier to understand. This technique was first systematized overseas before being introduced to Korea. As a result, it doesn't suit the Korean head shape and hair texture. You know Korean head shape and hair texture, right? For hair with prominent sides and wavy hair, this method of working from the bottom up is a dead giveaway. If you misjudge the head shape and hair texture and shave the sides and back, you'll end up with an unmanageable, messy style. In the old days, people had no choice but to use up-do techniques for haircuts. Back then, the first generation of barbers were so skilled that they could cut hair that matched the head shape and hair texture, even with up-do techniques. However, the second-generation barbers who currently use the up-making technique tend to cut hair using techniques imported from overseas and follow manuals, so many of them mechanically create fades. Of course, there are many barbers who are good at up-making hair. It's not that this technique is bad, but rather that it's prone to mistakes. On the other hand, it's the technique that creates the most beautiful and precise fades. That's why it has its pros and cons. You get it, right? The second fade technique is the opposite of the first: the down-making technique. Down-making is, as the name suggests, a method of creating a fade from top to bottom. You first establish the overall style frame, then gradually reduce the tap size, creating a fade that gets shorter as you go down. Up-making involves pushing the bottom part forward, while down-making involves establishing the style line first, right? It's also called the sculpting technique. When drawing or sculpting, you first draw a rough sketch or create a frame, and then gradually work on the details, right? It's the same concept. The process of haircutting is similar to sculpting, so it's called the sculpting technique. This technique is what I primarily use. Those who have watched my haircut videos will recognize it. The haircut sequence might be unfamiliar. These are videos of haircuts using the down-making technique. My father was the first to systematize this down-making sculpting technique. It was developed 40-50 years ago after pondering how to create a haircut that suited Koreans, making it incredibly useful in Korea. Except for those who took the Barbering Academy and online courses like Ibalforyou, I'm probably the only one who uses it now. The down-making technique has many advantages. First of all, it's the best technique for the Korean head shape and hair texture. Because it allows you to create a custom haircut while preserving the natural shape of the head and hair growth, rather than simply creating a uniform, straight cut, it's possible to achieve a customized look. It's also very easy to adjust the length and thickness of the fade. It reduces the chance of mistakes during haircutting, making for a quick, easy, and accurate haircut. The technique I'll be introducing is the down-making sculpting technique. Finally, the third method for creating a fade is the side-making technique. Typically, this is done from scratch using a comb and clippers. This technique is commonly used in salons. Before creating the...
