THE SCARIEST GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED | From The Darkness

From The Darkness is easily the scariest indie horror game I've ever played. From The Darkness has what I would consider to be an absolute perfect tone for a horror game. From The Darkness puts you in an apartment complex with the objective of simply going to room 64 and retrieving a photo album. Room 64 is the former residence of your deceased grandfather. Although the apartment is suppose to be abandoned, you quickly learn that you are not alone in this eerie place! Getting in and getting out with the photo album proves all too difficult when doors shut and lock you in with the monstrosity that lives inside. From The Darkness features several simple puzzles that for your character into unsettling situations, such as being locking inside a room with a creepy doll or finding body parts throughout the apartment in order to obtain a key. From the Darkness is made by an complete legend of a developer, N4ba who has made other great horror games such as Wrong Floor, 9 Childs Street and Welcome to Kowloon. This From the Darkness playthrough is actually my second time plaything the game, as disclosed in the video. However, nearly 3 years have gone by since my last visit to apartment 64 and the game still holds up as an absolute scarefest given that its been awhile and I have forgotten a lot of the objectives and jumpscares. Upon walking into the building, the ominous humming sound of the building instantly brought me back to that feeling of despair I experienced 3 years ago. From The Darkness is an absolute Must Play for any fan of the indie horror gaming genre! When asked which game I considered to be the scariest game of all time my answer is always and will continue to be From The Darkness.
