THE TOKYO TOILET has been reborn as a place where anyone can use comfortably regardless of gender, age, or disability 17 public toilets in Shibuya, Tokyo, have been redesigned from the viewpoints of 16 world-class creators. 17 innovative public toilets in Shibuya, Tokyo have been redesigned like we’ve never seen before, such as one which offers shelter from the rain, one that looks like a spacecraft and a “squid toilet” in the “octopus park”, for everyone to use comfortably. The film “PERFECT DAYS” by director Wim Wenders was set around THE TOKYO TOILET. THE TOKYO TOILET will continue to challenge to solve social issues through the power of excellent design and creativity.
