Revelation 2:8-11 - Smyrna, A Church Under Fire
In this second letter that Jesus wrote to the Seven Churches of Asia, He wrote to Smyrna, the persecuted church. Even though the believers were facing heavy persecution, Jesus encouraged them by saying that He knew all that they were facing. He knew their trials and their impoverished conditions that were brought on by those who were persecuting them. He then encouraged them further to be fearless and faithful through their whole ordeal. From these encouraging words, we can be confident that Jesus knows and sees all that we face. Study ID: 11ID1291
