Located on the South Wales Main Line, Cardiff Central is the main point of interest on the line which connects passengers from the Valley lines of Merthyr, Aberdare and Treherbert, the Vale of Glamorgan line and Barry to mainline services to places such as Carmarthen, further west Wales such as Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven and Fishguard Harbour, London and Manchester through intercity services offered by GWR and Transport for Wales respectively.
