Cleaning Silver Eagle Coins - DONT Do This With Your Coins shows a "safe" way to clean your silver eagle coins. One of the things people learn when stacking silver for beginners is to never clean your silver bullion because you will ruin the coin value regardless of it being silver bullion vs numismatic coins. One thing I never do is clean any coins, especially when collecting American Silver Eagles. However, stacking silver eagles is different than numismatics because of the vast amounts minted. While silver stacking 101 will tell you you should never clean your silver bullion collection, there are safe methods to clean some of your coins. These are new bullion coins and are going to be resold and it will be disclosed to the buyer on an auction. When buying silver bars for beginners, the cleaning rules are a little bit different in that they are not coins and are just silver bars.
