Holy Forever with One Triad Shape | Electric Guitar
Pain-Free Triads SESSION ONE - Free: https://www.dontgiveup.pro/triads1 Let's play in the key of Db! Normally that phrase doesn't excite me at all. But today we're going to easily play through the 5 chords of Holy Forever by only using one triad shape! This is a principle from my newest triad course - Pain-Free Triads. A lot of electric guitarists hesitate to use triads, often because they seem too basic or not powerful enough. But avoiding them can actually hold you back from unlocking some really cool sounds and making your playing more dynamic. Many players start with full barre chords and power chords, which feel big and familiar in rock and blues. Compared to those, triads—simple three-note chord shapes—might seem small or even unnecessary. Some guitarists also think triads are too theoretical or tricky to learn all over the fretboard. Another worry is that triads will make their playing sound thin or weak. But in reality, triads bring a lot of clarity and movement to your sound, making chord transitions smoother and helping your playing stand out in a mix. Pro guitarists use them all the time to create tight, clean rhythms and interesting lead lines. Once you start using triads, you’ll see how much easier they make navigating the fretboard and adding variety to your playing. They’re not just useful—they’re a game-changer! So instead of avoiding them, give triads a shot and see how they can make your music more expressive, creative, and fun. Enjoy! - CJ Also, apologies for the tone. I didn't realize I had the wrong amp model selected. 0:00 Key of Db? 0:45 Holy Forever Play Along 3:40 5 Chords with One Shape Holy Forever Written by Chris Tomlin, Brian Johnson, Jason Ingram, Jenn Johnson, Phil Wickham © 2022–2024 Brian & Jenn Publishing; Capitol CMG Paragon; Be Essential Songs; My Magnolia Music; Phil Wickham Music; Simply Global Songs; Bethel Music Publishing (admin by Essential Music Publishing) CCLI Song #7201044
