1850本限定、2年熟成「白神山地ワイン」　秋田・藤里町産のブドウ使用　町内の酒店などで販売始まる (26/06/02 13:00)

Wine made from grapes grown in Fujisato Town, Akita Prefecture, at the foot of the Shirakami Mountains, a World Natural Heritage site, has been completed and shipments have begun. Albion, a major cosmetics manufacturer, has focused on the natural resources of the Shirakami Mountains and established a research institute in Fujisato Town, while also engaging in grape cultivation and winemaking. Shipments of this season's wine, brewed at the facility, began on May 28th. The "Shirakami Mountain Wine," a collaboration with the town, is aged for approximately two years before shipment and uses Yama Sauvignon, a variety derived from wild grapes. It is said to have a light yet slightly astringent taste, and pairs well with traditional Akita cuisine such as kiritanpo nabe (rice cake hot pot) and hatahata sushi (sandfish sushi). Brewmaster Yusuke Sato: "Shirakami Mountains Wine is made from grapes grown at the foot of a World Heritage site, so we want people to enjoy it with a special feeling." Fujisato Town Commerce and Tourism Division Assistant Manager Yoshiaki Sasaki: "We hope you will come to Fujisato Town and buy it. It requires a special trip, but it's well worth it because of its delicious taste." The wine is limited to 1850 bottles and will be sold at liquor stores and hotels in town.
