Please Join Us As We Explore The Underground Workings Of This Abandoned California Gold Mine.⛏️💰
After driving the Jeep to the wilderness boundary we hiked on a burro trail the last couple miles up the mountain to an open portal leading into the mine. Once inside we found an interesting drift with a lot of vintage miners graffiti. The drift intersected a vertical shaft about 60 feet down from the top of the shaft where things were in much better shape. There are intact ladders starting at this level which we took to the bottom of the approximately 200 foot deep shaft where there is an extensive drift level. Along the way we passed another drift level that we explored on the way back up the ladders after exploring the lower level. We hope you enjoy the video.
