VIVIR los Hechos de los Apóstoles (Retomando las bases de la vida cristiana, 1 de 2)
00:01–06:42 — The Church continues the story of Acts. The Church is born from the heart and love of Christ, not from a human initiative. The Book of Acts is not just history: its "chapter 29" continues in the lives of Christians today, called to follow the apostolic mission. 06:42–18:23 — Acts reveals the work of the Holy Spirit. Saint Luke presents a unity between his Gospel and Acts: the Gospel shows what the Holy Spirit did in Jesus Christ, while Acts shows what that same Spirit accomplishes in the disciples. 18:23–31:17 — The great question of the book. The central theme of Acts is to answer how the same anointing and power that worked in Christ can also work in every believer through the Holy Spirit, fulfilling the promises announced by the prophets. 31:17–38:28 — Asking for the Spirit based on God's promise. Jesus invites us to wait for "the Father's promise." The most effective prayer comes from reminding God of what He Himself promised: to pour out His Spirit on His people. 38:28–50:49 — Pentecost and the Cross are inseparable. Peter explains that the joy of Pentecost only makes sense in light of the Cross. Without the Cross, Pentecost is reduced to superficial enthusiasm; without Pentecost, the Cross seems like a hopeless tragedy. 42:55–50:49 — The Cross breaks down the "bunker" of selfishness. Peter's preaching confronts every believer with their self-sufficiency. The true fruit of a retreat or spiritual experience is to leave asking oneself, "What do I have to do?" so that Christ can transform one's life. 51:27–1:01:28 — The Acts of the Apostles shows a real, not perfect, Church. The first Christians faced conflicts, divisions, pastoral disagreements, and processes of discernment. The holiness of the Church does not eliminate the ongoing need for conversion and listening to the Spirit. 57:40–1:01:28 — The Spirit guides even in uncertainty. Paul and his collaborators often didn't know which path to take; through prayer and listening to the Spirit, they discovered new missionary routes, showing that mission requires availability more than perfect planning. 1:02:01–1:06:41 — The Gospel cannot be stopped. The open ending of Acts, with Paul still evangelizing in Rome, proclaims that the story continues. Every Christian is called to write a new chapter today by living with the power of the Spirit and bringing the Gospel to the world. *** BECOME A MEMBER of the Channel!
