I Climbed Tungurahua Volcano, Ecuador's MOST ACTIVE Volcano Greetings everyone. I continue my journey in South America. In this video, I will share with you my ascent to Tungurahua volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in Ecuador. This volcano, which is at an altitude of 5016 meters and has erupted almost every year since 1999, was one of the places I was most curious about in Ecuador. I started my trek in the city of Banos and walked up to the crater of the volcano. The walk took 2 days. On the first day, I walked from Banos to my accommodation called Refugio. I paid $15 to stay here. It is forbidden to set up tents. That's why those who are going to climb the volcano have to stay here. Early on the second day, I started my hike and climbed into the crater. The last 500 meters were quite challenging and dangerous. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've had the most extreme moments of my life, because many times I've found myself in danger (as I ascended and descended). When I got to the crater, I realized that the ground I stepped on was warm and there was smoke everywhere. I was on something alive. I have seen one of the most interesting and beautiful structures I have ever seen in my life. And my view was magnificent. I could see the peak of Mount Chimborazo very clearly.
