Cérémonie de bienvenue du pape François à Madagascar

Pope Francis arrived in Madagascar this Friday, September 6. His plane landed around 4:00 p.m. (local time). Andry Rajoelina, the Malagasy president, welcomed the Holy Father on the tarmac of the Tananarive airport in the presence of the honor guard. He then greeted representatives of the authorities and members of the Church. His visit to the Big Island is a moment of great joy for the inhabitants. This is the second time a pope has visited the country, 30 years after Saint John Paul II.
