After acquiring about 30 nice exotic hardwood boards from a private seller, I set out to make a segmented bowl choosing to use some of the canarywood and padauk hardwoods. For some inspiration I did an internet image search using the terms “segmented bowl walnut canarywood padauk.” The result hit upon a beautiful bowl made by Marc Sitkin. It was an unique design by Marc that really caught my eye. So with just a minor design change and profile alteration, I set up to duplicate his design.
