Part 1 - How To Install Carpet In A 1967 Mustang

The first in a series of how to install carpet in a 1967 Ford Mustang. As usual when working on LUMPY, and just about any vintage car that has had a previous owner, not everything is original and not everything goes as expected. This means that replacement parts may not be correct when you order them. And it may mean that sometimes you need to improvise a little. Lots of it. Razor blade. Maybe more than one. Just make sure it's new when you start. NEVER use a drill bit on carpet. You'll pull a thread and cause a run. Carpet. Our previous owner supplied that for us. Various sizes sockets and wrenches to remove the rear and front seats. Same goes for screwdrivers. Awl. Or two. Maybe a little extra patience. An assistant would be nice but isn't necessary. Marker, pencil, or chalk. Something to mark the floorboard and maybe the carpet. Parts catalog. I only say this because you may find that while the carpet is out, you need new nuts, bolts, or seat rails. Either way, it's a good idea to have a catalog on hand so you know what to order.
