[UA version] FarmForce project webinar: Winter wheat production in agroforestry systems

This webinar, organised within the Sweden/Ukraine collaboration project FarmForce funded by the Swedish Institute, explores how agroforestry can be integrated into winter wheat and grain production systems in Sweden and Ukraine. Bringing together research, advisory expertise and practical farming experience, the session demonstrates how trees can be deliberately integrated into arable land to improve soil health, increase biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience and diversify farm income. The webinar features insights from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, a commercial Swedish farmer implementing apple-based agroforestry in a mechanised grain system, and an experienced agronomic advisor addressing soil management and practical challenges. The discussion highlights both opportunities and barriers, including policy frameworks, investment needs and advisory support required to scale agroforestry in modern agriculture. The webinar is particularly relevant for policymakers, farmer organisations and rural development actors interested in sustainable and resilient food systems.
