Originally slated to be Phoenix of RISE Champion Delilah Doom defending against former Champion Shotzi Blackheart, both participants were injured in the week between RISE 8 - OUTBACK and RISE 9. "The Latina Sensation" Mercedes Martinez was slated to be one of the replacement combatants for the vacated Phoenix of RISE Championship.
