It’s also available in 6″, 8″, or 12″ thicknesses. Unlike most other coil-based mattresses we test, the Zinus does not use pocketed coils. Pocketed coils allow each individual coil to move independently while a traditional innerspring coil system moves as one unit. The Zinus Hybrid is available in a single firmness level — medium-firm, ranking 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale. This mattress has deep sinkage and very high levels of bounce. This is a high amount of engagement, especially for a 10″ mattress. In our performance tests, this mattress earned an overall score of 7.37, ranking the mattress in the bottom 7% of all mattresses tested to date. This data considers over 300+ mattresses tested to date. It does have a low price, only $299 for a queen mattress. This price may make the Zinus Hybrid attractive to sleepers on an ultra-low budget.
