After months of dreaming, planning, and praying, we officially started building our dream home in rural Africa. An engineer visited our land, carefully measured the site, and approved the substructure. Soon after, we began digging the foundation, taking the very first steps toward building a safe and sustainable family home. As we celebrated this exciting milestone, we prepared a delicious traditional village meal of mashed sweet potatoes and beans served with rich beef stew.
